This was a pro-bono project we did as public service to people in need of help with addiction. The intervention Organization is a non-profit organization whose focus is to guide family members and addicts toward recovery. The site serves as a way to connect with the organization as well as educate the viewer on life stories, drug slang, 12 step resources, social documentary photography, etc...

The Intervention Organization approached us with ton of content that was essentially links, text and images layed out in very rudimentary static html pages. You can view the old mirror site here. The final product is an easily updatable CMS with a new logo, color theme, visual identity, and style. We took the photography provided and created a powerful fading slideshow of faces with a focused stare, to connect with the viewer for the urgency for help. The concept is to connect the viewer with their feelings and to push them to search further into the site. The homepage has simple navigation and a direct line to the organizations director for immediate help. The rest of the site is broken into five sections: help, educate, resources, reviews, and photography that break into sub landing pages that randomly generate article excerpts. Each excerpt leads to the full article. The photography section uses the flickr api to dynamically generate the photo galleries.
