The Patent Training Institute
whitestavish.com
WhiteStavish provided us with a word document of copy from which to create a whole visual identity: logo, website, tri-fold mailer, and brochure. The Patent Training Institute is a program designed to train Korean patent lawyers in U.S. patent law. They arrange for applicants to get visas, hosting, training courses, and a mock exam. They are the leading patent training program for companies like LG and Samsung.
Project Length: 3/17/10 — 4/17/10
Programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign
Languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP
Solution: For this project we began with the logo. Once we came to a unique typographic solution we tackled the website followed by the print peices. The focus of the site was strictly informational so we organized the content into six steps and sections: About, Exam, Services, Calender, FAQs, Register. We used a javascript slider gallery for the six steps and selling points and a simple css navigation for the sections. For the register page we created a custom form to send tailored information about the applicant to PTI. For the trifold we utilized the same six step approach and created a form that can be filled out, folded back up and sent out. The brochure we took the same approach and included all the content given. We completed the project on a tight one month deadline ontime and received kudos from the client and stakeholders.
